The influx of over 6 million visitors annually since 1994 has resulted in the Historic Gateway Neighborhood becoming a magnet for restaurant entrepreneurs and hungry customers.

From fine dining to more casual fare, the Historic Gateway Neighborhood offers a vast array of options: Japanese, Italian, Middle Eastern, Cajun, Irish and standard American fare are all available.

The neighborhood has several restaurant clusters. Along East 9th Street near Jacobs Field are the Ginza Sushi House on Carnegie, the Thirsty Parrot, The Middle East on Prospect, Win Wah Chinese, and Sammy's Metropolitan Club.

At Prospect and Huron Roads are Panini's, the Clevelander  Bar & Grille, Alesci's Downtown, the Winking Lizard, A. J. Rocco's Espresso Bar, and The Boneyard.

Just north of Gund Arena is the East 4th/Arcades District, which offers Harry Buffalo,  Vincenza's Pizza and Pasta, Indigo, P.J.'s Luncheonette, Fat Fish Blue, Flannery's, Quizno's, Pickwick & Frolic (home of Hilarities), Vivo as well as the food court and 1890 at the Arcade.

Along Ontario St. and near Public Square are Alvies, Jake's and Ontario Street Café.

Finally, a short walk through the north end of the district reveals Frank and Pauly's, Teahouse Noodles, Sergio's, Vico, and Moriarty's Pub.

Plan on visiting the district soon to see what's new and to "taste the diversity!"
