Walk and Dine

Tour impressive sites in the Historic Gateway Neighborhood while enjoying great food and beverages from neighborhood restaurants.

Registration begins at the Residence Inn by Marriott.  Preview renderings of Rosetta's new premier corporate home, and see owner's fabulous penthouse at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites.  Visit an owner's condo in The Park Building and an apartment at the Osborne Building.  Enjoy a stop at Peterson's Nuts, a Cleveland destination spot since 1927.  See a beautiful model, gorgeous lobby and other unique spaces at the Residences at 668.  View the construction site of the Schofield Building.  Enjoy the fabulous dessert reception at RJ Boland's Restaurant & American Saloon.

Restaurant participants include the following as of invitation print deadline:  The Corner Alley, Fat Fish Blue, The Flaming Ice Cube, Flannery's Pub, House of Blues, Local Heroes Grill & Bar, Winking Lizard Tavern, Zinc Restaurant and Zocalo Mexican Grill & Tequileria.

Take a Hike!
The popular guided walking tours complete with actors portraying historic Clevelanders are returning on May 1st.

Now - September 12, 2010

Thursdays at 6 PM:  Historic Gateway Neighborhood Tour
Meet at The Arcade (401 Euclid Avenue.)

Saturdays at 10 AM:  Historic Warehouse District Tour
Meet at Constantino's Market (1278 West 9th Street).

Sundays at 10 AM:  Canal Basin Park Tour
Meet at Settlers Landing RTA Station (1025 West Superior Avenue, bottom of the hill).

Tuesdays at 6 PM:  PlayhouseSquare Tour
Meet at the State Theatre Lobby (1519 Euclid Avenue).

There will be tours on July 3rd and 4th over the holiday weekend.

Each tour lasts approximately 1 and 1/2 hours in length.  Characters you might encounter include John D. Rockefeller, Mrs. Alfred Kelley, Frances Payne Bolton, Garrett Morgan, Alan Freed, Mayor Tom Johnson or Daniel Burnham.

Please arrive ten minutes early if possible.  This will help tours begin on time.  Tours are free.  Donations are encouraged to help fund future tours.

Take a Hike is generously presented by PNC.  The program is also funded by the Ohio & Erie Canalway Association and Downtown Cleveland Alliance.  Program partners include Historic Warehouse District, Positively Cleveland, Ohio Canal Corridor and PlayhouseSquare.
